LSA Supercharger CNC Porting | Stage 3
LSA Stage 3 Supercharger Porting
It is no secret that the LSA Supercharger is a stout performer! The LSA Supercharger has proven capable of well over 750+rwhp on everyday street cars with very basic & simple mods however there is Always room to improve.
By significantly opening up the restrictive areas of the blower we have seen some huge HP gains with massive benefits all round!
Below is a detailed overview of the CNC Porting process completed on your LSA Supercharger.
CNC Porting the LSA Supercharger Snout:
In this step the snout is CNC Ported to suit either 90mm or 102mm throttle body.
The inner diameter is largely increased to increase flow and remove restriction.
We also match port the rear of the LSA Snout to suit the LSA Supercharger Entry which is ported next.
CNC Porting the LSA Supercharger Inlet:
This process is completed to increase the amount of air that goes into the supercharger rotor housing.
This increases the amount of air that the rotors can compress and move.
CNC Porting the LSA Supercharger Intercooler Inlet: (From Rotor Housing to Intercooler Brick)
This inlet is found at the top rear of the rotor housing. By increasing the diameter of this entry point we are now able to force the newly increased air amount into the intercooler.
This section is a triangle shape which is ported to a larger diameter and then carefully hand polished to ensure no turbulence as the air passes.
CNC Porting the LSA Supercharger Housing:
This process increases the total air capacity that the LSA Supercharger can hold to allow for its massive increase in forced air which in turn allows it to create more horsepower once it's fed into the engine.
Porting the Intake Port Runners:
This process increases the amount of air flow travelling to the intake ports directly into the cylinder heads. This section as been found to be unnecessarily restrictive due to the factory runner casting.
By increasing the overall diameter of these runners, we see significant increases in horsepower and torque over non ported runners.
Polishing & Completion:
This final process is quite time consuming and must be completed by the most meticulous operator to ensure a completely smooth finish to maximise flow.
What Technology Is Used During Your LSA Porting Process?
Our team utilise state of the art in-house 5 Axis CNC machinery.
There is no substitute for ensuring perfect, consistent flow through your LSA supercharger, which is why technology plays a vital part of your performance upgrades.
The latest CNC Machinery is able to ensure every little detail is done to the finest measurement which is simply impossible by hand!
What Results Do We Achieve From Your LSA Porting Process?
The results speak for themselves.
By following this process we are seeing consistent gains of over 40 rear wheel horsepower & over 50 ft lbs of torque.
This results in huge gains in mph at the racetrack, massive increases in the overall acceleration and top end of the vehicle!
