Who are PRP?
In the beginning it was Philadelphia Automotive Technologies with the focus of creating competitive engines for automotive, marine, pro-street, drag race and circle track with special expertise in the restoration of ‘50s, 60s and 70s cars.
In 1991 Philadelphia Automotive moved to their location in Northeast Philadelphia. Conveniently located a short distance from either interstate 95 or the PA Turnpike. This 12,000 square foot building is crammed with experience and a love for racing.
PRE to PRP
In 1997 the company split into two different entities, Philadelphia Racing Engines and Philadelphia Racing Products.
Philadelphia Racing Engines (PRE) still focuses on creating one of a kind high powered engines. They are proficient in all facets of competition engine building and machining. The capabilities are endless, covering all machining, head & manifold flow work, assembly, and engine dyno tuning.
Philadelphia Racing Products (PRP) was born when a CNC milling center was added to the list of equipment. Since then, through hard work and the love of racing, PRP has been able to break into performance parts manufacturing with its own state of the art racing product line. Some of PRP’s advanced products include the revolutionary Dual Return Spring Throttle Bracket, Billet Fuel Cell Caps, and Billet Electric Water Pumps.
Why do I need This?
These little brackets are the answer to securing your oil pump pick up on your LS engine. This bracket is designed to convert your single bolt pick up to a dual bolt.
An engines oiling system is the main life support when keeping the internals lubricated and moving freely in all applications.
The LS oiling system, While being efficient it also has its flaws especially in high performance applications.
The oil pump for example is designed with two threads on the flange where the oil pick up bolts into which holds the pick up in place but also seats and seals the o ring to ensure oil pressure from the sump to the oil pump.
Despite having two bolt holes the OEM oil pick ups only offer a single sided flange which if installed incorrectly can cause the pick up to not be sealed correctly and damage the o ring which results in lost oil pressure & catastrophic failure.
